On the 21st March 2014, Sunway CPA Australia Student Charter (SCSC) had successfully organised an industrial visit for Sunway students to Leaderonomics. The SCSC members had devoted a lot of effort in ensuring that this event will run smoothly. Besides that, special thanks to Leaderonomics for their cooperation as well as their generosity for hosting this visit.

During
the visit, Leaderonomics welcomed us with joyful arms and led us to their main
office. The staff-in-charge, Ms Nadia guided us around their office for a tour
to which the participants were fascinated about the office’s surroundings and
atmosphere of the other staff members doing their work. Furthermore, the
speakers of this company, Mr Andrew Lau and Ms Ang Hui Ming generously provided
the students with many helpful information and knowledge about their victorious
company.
After
the short briefing, Leaderonomics has
kindly prepared a satisfying lunch, i.e. Domino’s Pizza for us to fill our
tummies. After lunch, some special activities was arranged for us and we were then
broken down into groups. One of the activities was a task given on how to secure sponsorship to
fund our projects to be carried out for the youths in Leaderonomics’ Community
Centre. All of us truly enjoyed the games and had
a good time in brainstorming the ideas. The activities has certainly amplified students’ soft skills such as communication
skills, conflict resolution, strategic thinking, team building, creative
problem solving and etc. At the end of the visit, SCSC (along with our dearest
lecturer, Ms Anita) presented a basket of fruits as a token of appreciation to
the head manager of Leaderonomics, Mr Andrew Lau.
In
conclusion, the objective of this field trip was achieved, i.e. to provide
Sunway students with an insight knowledge of the business world. Positive
feedbacks were given by majority of the participants while negative feedback
was noted down to improve our next industrial visit. Once again, SCSC would
like to thank Leaderonomics for this knowledgeable and yet memorable visit; and
of course, not forgetting our supportive participants who have been very
sporting in this visit. :)
