After a 40 minutes journey, the bus have finally reached UCSI University. All of the candidates were then asked to have a seat in UCSI’s main hall which was located in the South Wing.

The event began with a quick warm up session conducted by Jonathan Quek, the founder of True North Asia. After that at 9.30am, there was a short speech which was conducted by the representative from AKPK. The speech lasted for about half an hour. Before the game began, Mr. Jonathan Quek brief and taught us how to play this game as most of us have no knowledge about this game.

At 10am sharp, the game began as every participant was looking very anxious because they all want to win as there is a total of RM1,500 cash prize to be won. It was a very intense moment as cheers of joys and sigh of disappointment can be heard from all over the hall. Halfway through the game, there are already participants who have successfully achieved financial freedom when the rest of the participants are still struggling to pick the right investment technique just to avoid facing bankruptcy. A good thing is, one of the students representing Sunway has got 3rd place as he managed to achieve financial freedom before any other participants did. This was a very proud moment for Sunway as we all know that Sunway students are very intelligent people.

After the game has ended, Mr Jonathan Quek has explain to all of the participants about the method of investing and some tips for investment. Besides that, a very motivational talk was also conducted by the Wall Street Academy representative. As the event draws nearer to the end, there was a lucky draw session which gives away silver coins to lucky participants. After that, a prize giving session was held and a promotional and appreciation video was shown to every participant. At 1.25pm, there was a photo-taking session for all the winners, participants, and organizing committee.

By 2pm, the whole event has ended. Every Sunway student are required to assemble and board the bus so that all of them can be transported back to Sunway. At 3.30pm, all of us have successfully reached Sunway safely. Overall it was a very successful event as it helps to widen our knowledge in terms of investing and also we are able to make more new friends. There are participants who have mentioned that they wished that there would be another similar competition like this so that they could participate again.

Most importantly, thanks to AKPK Malaysia, AFSA of UCSI, VUBC & SCSC of Sunway University, Sunway Pyramid Ice, The wall Street Academy & SilverMalaysia.com for contributing to this huge success!

Paintball Game

In order to come up with new environment for SCSC activities other than educational talks, we decided to have paintball game activity. This activity was joined by some of the committee member and some outsider in order to get enough people to play the game. If member interested, they have to pay RM 45 to our treasurer, Mona. We took two cars to reach the Sri Petaling , both of the cars belong to our members Teo Kok Peng and Kae Shen .Upon arrival the instructors told us how to play the game, and the basic do’s and don’ts that we  have to follow to the play the game safely and properly, since we had the special package we got to have additional bullets therefore we got to play three games. The first of two games teams were suppose to get flags after shooting down three bottles in the enemy territory and then the third games saw the same but in addition we had to get an additional flag from the enemy fort. After the games we all went to eat and having a quality time with fellowship and getting to know one another among the new friends. The environment is filled with joy and laughter. Following that, when everyone finished their food, then had drinks from cha-time. Overall it was another successful member’s activity for the SCSC family
