CPA Australia Student Network Briefing

A mundane Tuesday morning just got exciting with life-changing knowledge because on the 21st of March 2017, we Sunway CPA Australia Student Charter had organised our first CPA Australia Student Network Briefing for the year 2017. With much evaluation the venue was decided to be in Lecture Theatre 7, level 4 of Sunway College Kuala Lumpur campus, a place that can fit up to 300 students! In alliance with Semester 1 Accounting for Decision Making lecturer Ms Fong who is also our club advisor, the briefing session began at 9.30 in the morning.


The session was kick started with an enthusiastic welcome to over 150 students by the master of ceremony of the day, one of our spontaneous member Avelynn Micheal. With the crowd fired up with curiousity and the eagerness to learn, the session was then pass on to the VIP of this briefing who is also the Relationship Manager of CPA Australia in Kuala Lumpur, Miss Leong Pui Kuan.



The following 40 minutes went by like a breeze as Ms Kuan showered the students with insightful and eye-opening information regarding CPA Australia. This included the structure of the CPA Australia Program, the multi-national network opportunities in various countries and the career benefits that lie before them with this professional qualification that is highly sought after by world renowned multi-national corporations.



Then came the long-awaited Q&A session where students were finally given the opportunity to voice their enquiries regarding CPA Australia.  At the same time, 25 of SCSC members who are the student representatives of CPA Australia tentatively handed out registration forms to students enabling them to be part of the CPA Australia Student Network, through this the students would be able to receive the latest information provided by CPA Australia.


Moving on after the Q&A session, SCSC’s Vice President Er Chin Yuen and our club advisor Miss Fong was called upon the stage to present a token of appreciation to Ms Leong Pui Kuan for her hard work and passion. A photo session was carried out to capture the moments where transformative changes were made and with that captured, the CPA Australia Student Network briefing come to a proud conclusion at approximately 10:30am.
